Writing
prompt idea/class project: invite your students to
write an adventure story (or poem) about the travels
of a leaf. Main Idea: students are encouraged to
imagine a leaf being blown off a tree and being
carried various places by the wind. Where will the
leaf go? What types of places or people will it pass?
How far will it travel? Where will it finally end up?
The "leaf" idea will inspire creative
thinking & is lots of fun! Here's the (PDF) worksheet
to get you started: Leaf
Story-Planner
Recipe
Project:
Teachers, challenge your students to create/write a
gross meal or snack that would be a special treat in
Marvin's world. Ask each student to share their idea
with the class. Download the MONSTER DINER worksheet
to the right.
